Barbados is in the Atlantic Ocean, but it is considered the eastern most
island of the Caribbean Sea. Its highest point is Mount Hillaby, which
stands 1,104 ft.
The total area of Barbados is 166 square miles.
Its population is 262,000.
Barbados is the most populated island in the Caribbean Sea.
The capital, Bridgetown, is on the Caribbean side of the island.

Barbados is predominantly flat with only a few gentle rolling hills to the north. The east coast is the most beautiful drive on the island with huge surf and mountainous backdrop. The south of the island has white sand beaches and in particular Crane beach has pink sand and is a must see on your list of things to do. The west coast is calm and tranquil with fine sandy beaches shallow water with coral reefs and tropical fish, ideal for a dream holiday.

The coral structure of the island acts as a natural filter and the drinking waters of Barbados are amongst the purest in the world. Horse racing just south of Bridgetown makes a fun afternoon out, the motor museum is unique and during test cricket at the Oval, accommodation in Barbados is booked up very early on.
